Event identity concept for the MOFO festival 2015 designed by Harley Jackman, a Melbourne, Australia based graphic designer. It’s an annual festival at the MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) in Hobart, Tasmania. Brian Ritchie, bass player from the rock band Violent Femmes is the curator of the MOFO festival.

The annual event is intended to be a contemporary music festival that represents the work of artists from a diverse range of art and music genres.

For the 2015 edition, graphic designer Harley Jackman wanted to develop a new event identity, which is fresh but also very clean and simple. The result is a brand design that can be easily applied to all kinds of media such as festival posters, event collateral, promotional items, and big format banner ads. The main idea of the new identity concept was that each vertical or diagonal stroke represents a specific topic of the festival (dance, theatre, visual arts, etc.). Only with the combination of all strokes/topics, it forms the letter ‘M’ of the MOFO festival.
